TRAINING
Classically trained at the University of Liverpool and Guildhall School of Music in London, flautist Christa Michell played with Welsh National Opera, the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra, for H.T.V., the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, English National Ballet, Opera North, Thames Chamber Orchestra, Northern Ballet and the Manchester Camerata. Moreover, she performed solo recitals and concertos. Christa Michell taught flute at the Royal College of Music Junior Department.
LIFE-EXPERIENCES
Just before her solo debut in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, in 1976, she received serious injuries in a car accident. She recovered with the help of acupuncture and self-healing. In 1980, she experienced a classic shamanic awakening when her baby son Thomas Oliver died. This event was in many ways a turning-point in her life. She followed intensive study of astrology, healing, reincarnation and the western mystery tradition.
INSPIRATION
In 1988 Christa Michell began to be inspired by dolphins and composed the album 'Dolphin Love'. She dedicated this album to a friendly dolphin in los Port in Greece, who always amused inhabitants. But this dolphin as well has been killed by the fishermen because he was supposedto steal their fish...In 1993 her second album, 'Capricorn' was released in the Oreade Zodiac series.
COMMITMENTS
Christa Michell performed in the U.S.A. and Australia and began to give lectures, work/playshops, and audio-visual presentations. Several magazins published her articles about dolphins. She is actively committed in nature and environment and tries to express this in her music as well.

Music has always been at the forefront of Paul's life. He took an interest in the guitar at school when he was 11 years old but apart from this he has never taken any formal musical instruction rather preferring to let his style and talent develop on it's own. He discovered a passion for writing and recording music in Singapore when his father gave him access to instruments and a 4 track recorder. The evolution of Paul's music to the instrumental new age style was initiated by the discovery of Medwyn Goodall's CD, CLAN. This emotional and moving CD infused a passion for the genre and serves as a constant source of inspiration. In 2003 he wrote his first four new age albums based on stories and poems. It was due to the outstanding quality of his work that he was soon recognized (by those who were fortunate enough to hear his music) as an artist of high caliber. This reputation progressed until he had submitted various tracks on the MG forum and was asked to submit his performances to MG Music management. It was then that Paul's talent was recognized by Medwyn Goodall and encouraged into what promises to be somedeeply innovative debut albums and an even more successful professional career.

ASTRAL DOORWAYS, a gentle yet haunting piece to relax to, but allows your imagination to fly. Paul is going to be an artist to watch as his music has a rare melodic quality and a gift for those few notes you find yourself singing days later wondering what it is you're hummiing. Certainly the album's best moments are its orchestrally driven pieces, most notably the gracefully elegant "Southern Cross," which features pristine acoustic guitar sounds, and the triumphant "Overture." However, slower pieces such as the sensual, Middle Eastern-flavored "Rug Merchant" and the soothing children's choir in "Sailing" provide a delicate balance to the more playful, boisterous compositions. Southwest was definitely the right direction for Eric Tingstad to turn in discovering a new musical path. Tingstad is best known as the guitar half of his duo with oboist and ocarina player Nancy Rumbel. They've been plying their pastoral chamber music since the mid 1980s, but Tingstad clearly had some other sounds in mind when he went southwest. From the opening track, "Sunrise at Four Corners", it's obvious this isn't another acoustic chamber work as Terry Lauber's pedal steel articulates an open plains melody. While there are echoes of old country rock bands like Poco and New Riders of the Purple Sage, Tingstad's southwestern chamber music also embraces native sounds. "Voices of the Ancient Ones" has native chants from Petra Stahl and the native flutes of Gary Stroutsos creating canyon echoes. Tingstad mixes flat-picking guitar and fingerstyle on this disc, with tunes like "The Last Caballero" sounding like an old folk tune, but with a resonance that comes from glorified memory, making it feel bigger, fuller, and richer than the original probably ever was. Nancy Rumbel hasn't been left behind. She plays on several tracks, her oboe articulating the soulful refrain of "Kiva" against Stahl's chants. The pedal steel anchors this album in country, but this ain't line dances and spilled beer. Tingstad has taken a country sound, touched it with his chamber music aesthetic, and added just enough trail dust to make it earthy and real. -John Diliberto, 2007.
